This particular AAR is finished. The scenario is ultra short, remember?

Must be related to fact that AE does not exist, eh ? [:'(]

I'm sorry to hear Hoepner deserted on some of you.
I agree it's very unpleasant. [:-]

Hey, Ron. It's really good to see some of the other OFs from the past show up. To borrow a phrase - Good on ya!

Just need Mr. Frag and Mogami to post.....

Hey Mr. TheElf, how about a late war AAR. Perhaps an invasion of Iwo Jima or Okinawa.
Something with working Kamakazes[8|].

My e-troops don't unload OVER THE BEACH anymore, see:
Amphibious Assault at Kota Bharu
TF 85 troops securing a beachhead at Kota Bharu, 51,75
whew! I still feel better.

if Kamikazes don´t attack land targets anymore and otherwise they are the same than in WITP then they are better than real life anway...

Yeah, that's just it. I haven't seen a Kamakaze attack since PacWar. Not one in Witp that I can recall.[8|]

Just because you "haven't seen a working Kamikaze" doesn't mean they aren't there, and aren't working.

Kamikaze work in WITP..I played a CHS game into something like early '45, got kinda cocky and had 3 or 4 CV groups cruising the Japanese mainland. Had not seen ANY enemy planes in several days.
Well, all of a sudden ONE of my CV groups got hit by HUNDREDS of Kamikazes..They were not dispersed with all the TF's i their area, they all went for just one TF.
Results:They sunk an Essex class and 2 Independence classes..

BTW, IIRC, in testing, I believe it was found that if the "kamikaze" trigger is hit, ALL Japanese planes became kamikaze, and this was the end of any other kind of missions for the Japanese AI.
I hope this can be altered.

this is not true for WITP games, only the groups that are set to kamikaze ARE kamikazes then. They can´t be switched back though.

What he means is that in AI games the AI keeps turning all of its squadrons into kamikazes until there are no others left.
