Question on template and scenario editor

Post by rickier65 »

Seems like I recall having this problem once before, but I dont recall how it was resolved.

I'm working on a template for the Piepsk map so that it can be used for random games/campaigns.

I was finishing the first step to place objectives when I noticed I could use the 3D or wireframe button in 3D to better place my hill objectives.

My problem was I don't seem to have a 3D or wireframe for this map. i.e. none show up when i press the wireframe button. Just to be sure I was doing it correctly, I tried another map and it came up ok (had to move the plain map to see it of course.

In any case, is this a special map created for this purpose? and if so, how do I create it?

Thanks,
Rick

Rick,

Yes ... it appears you need a special png of the scene.

For example ... Look in the KHARKOV_L1A folder ... see the two png's ---> PLAN and WIRE.

If you can't make them with the tools you have then let me know, I can make a set for your map.

Rob

EDIT NOTE : To make one, take a screenshot within Scene Editor ... for the wire, turn on the grid overlay by clicking on the children folder (like you were going to insert an object).

EDIT NOTE 2 : Correction, they are PNG's not BMP's .... I editted the above post to reflect this.
