Do you still have to load the tex mod file you are going to use before every game.

does 08 have the TV angle camera on the PC version
or is it the behind the QB camera for play ?

I know the PS2 & XBOX 360 versions are behind the QB
and I hate it, so never botherd buying the PC version

I do...yes...but it is possible to permanently load any NFL uni mods into the game engine now without tex mod. It should be possible soon to do the same with custom teams (the game treats their data differently). Anyway, JD is working with Nick and are fine tuning an importer which will eliminate the need for tex mod altogether...so it is going to be possible...just not yet with custom teams to my knowledge.

3rd party utilities are your friend. [;)] Yes, it is possible to play with a TV camera angle during franchise play by using NZA's editor (indeed, this is the only angle I use when I coach my games).

You can create custom teams and add them to any roster. You can use the actual game engine to do some basic uniforms for them, or you can use a great utility called tex mod and basically design them anyway you like (with use of a graphics program like PSP or Photoshop or whatnot).

It is possible to have leagues smaller than 32 teams - indeed, there is a schedule template availabe for 16 and 20 team leagues, and different configuations could theorectically be done as well. However, if a person has a league less than 32 teams, it takes more work and much fidgeting as the game still needs 32 teams - so extra teams need to be set as dummy teams and they have to be scheduled to play themselves. You have to use a schedule editor for this and also edit the playoffs - all possible. Obviously, this isn't the most ideal situation, and can be quite tricky, but it can be done and some guys are doing it...for me, I'm going with a 32 team fantasy league as it is simpler to do and less likely to run into any problems down the road.

It is just amazing what 3rd party development has been done with the game...indeed, it has kept me playing. Schedules can be changed, players can easily be globally modified, coaches edited, drafting AI improved...etc, etc. They've even got it (thanks to JD) playing 3 down football (yes you heard that right!) - by tricking the game engine into thinking 2nd down is 3rd down. I haven't tried it mind you, nor do they have 12 players on the field or the larger CFL field - but it is enough to satisfy some of the gamers (a big CFL mod is nearing completion).

kewl, maybe I'll have to dig into my pockets and buy it then
I already have it for PS2 and 360 but the camera angles or lack therof always put me off playing them
