Counters mod

Post by JMass »

I am learning the manual and I hope to enjoy this system. For now here's one screenshot of my counters mod:

Wow, fantastic job of cleaning up the overly busy artwork and making the counters actually legible!

Now if the art department at SSG can only be convinced to do the same for future games, players won't have to do this kind of corrective work.

I don't see anything wrong with the original ones.

I don't like the unnecessary "camo effect" on counters. If you like the original graphic be happy with it, if not download my file below (backup first the original, please) [;)]

The camo background has been one of my pet peeves for a long time. I really wish the SSG art guys would listen to us old crotchety types with poor vision about the need to eliminate that item.

Thanks so much for making a clean set of counters available to your fellow gamers!

WOW! That would almost make me buy the game. Much easier on these poor old eyes.

Will this work for any of the older titles? Are there similar maods for them?

No, this must be done on every scenario's graphics.

But if someone nicely gives me Battlefront I could mod it!

Ahhem , I discovered that in my mod support unit of german divisions had different background color from other units of the same division (see screenshot below, wrong units are red bordered), I have correct this in the file attached.

Not saying that I'm a big fan of the new counters (or not, they're fine), but I think JSS has used something similar to them in his Kalatch scenario that has been released to play with the patch (looks very similar).
