To Rekindle Interest: A 16-team draft league

Hmm -- how about 16 teams, like the old days, with, say, year 2001 players being offered up? Let's use finances, and make a couple of changes. Let's put the old teams in their modern locations. The Browns become the Orioles, the Senators become -- the Rangers, I guess.

The main thing is that a 50-man roster can be filled with real players, and the FA list will have mostly real players.

I'm gonna tinker with this KGBL idea for a while.

Dave, I did give it a try for a while, but elected to go back to a strictly historical template.

When it comes to replays, I am firmly stuck in the so-called "Golden Years", from say 1939 to 1957. Baseball, and the world, was in the midst of sweeping change, but the NFL had not yet supplanted MLB as "America's favorite past-time".

This time period starts from when my dad was a 6-year-old kid, and ends in the year I was born, and when the last game was played in Ebbets Field.
