med and explosive skills questions

I have two questions:

Does the med skill affect the effectiveness of the medical kit using at the battle field? In addition, what is the use of the explosive skill? Make grenades inflict more damage?

I think a person with high med skill will heal people faster and high explosive means they will be more accurate with explosives.
