Railroads

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

Railroads

Post by histgamer »

Ok I downloaded the demo which appears to be a full version 15 day trial of version 1.05 and as Germany and Austria I cannot seem to convert railroad tracks in conquered territory. I just took most of Belgium from early august to October 1914 and while I have 1 corps of infantry in each taken territory as well as 2 in some territories the railroad simply wont convert, I press the convert button but next turn nothing happens and I am at a loss as to why… can anyone help me?

and if it matters I am playing the game on XP. Side note there are still occasional crashes but if you save often it isn't enough to do more than slightly annoy you... at least that's my opinion.

Hi flanboy,
To convert the railroad, The unit must move into the area with the button already pressed. In other words, the corp starting in the area is not enough.the corp must move into the area. A good habit to get into would be to press the repair RR button before moving into any area with railroads, even when you move into an enemy area,if you win the battle, the RR will already be repaired.
This carried over from the boardgame. This will be changed, in future patches, too allow RR repair without moving.
I hope this helps![:)]

Thanks Rocko never would have crossed my mind to do that... [&o]

I guess that would explain why when i clicked the railroad button the button would not stay clicked after I didn't give it movement orders.

...To add to Von Rocko's statement; RR lines do not have to be converted/repaired in sequence from existing national track. You may find that you have to skip a location sometimes and convert it later-after you have captured it. Due to the size of the provinces, there is nothing wrong with that.
