WOW What have I got myself into

In reply to AUSSEM, HUGE MAP!!! 20000 pts!!!! 1944 Ger vs Ger, no strike aircraft CC off the sheer scope!!!!!, Goblin HELP!

Aussem writes

My preferences are. I like all realisms on including C&C or like the idea of a Blue Vs Blue (Germans Vs Germans) game.

I generally like somthing around the 12000-20000 pts mark. It allows for a BDE worth of forces.
Engagment-Any type (but should start with a Meeting type).
Country-any (but prefer Germans).
Time period - Any (but prefer late 43 & 44).
Visibility - Any.
Artillary 10-15%.
Air Drops - OK.
Air sections - a range form 0-5 depends on engagment and time period.
Mines- a range from 0-unlimited depends on engagment.
Special ops- Ok.

Depends, with 20k points you buy the most expensive stuff you can, and pray it's better than taking alot of the medium cost stuff.

I gotta admit, that's h00ge..and I like large games.

I am fairly fast player, deployment took about an hour, and until solid contact is established then turn take about 30 min. I may regret that speed in this game though. Even zooming out at max I only get a small % of the battle area, coordination of the battle is the problem. This is my first time playing Aussem, I waiting for his curveballs to be thrown

I would suggest you start throwing curveballs of your own first.

Shoot arty in random places...just on his side of the map.

Hell with that many points you're bound to hit something eventually.

:D Funny post, reminds me a battle Mogami and I played last year on-line, humongous map and hordes and hordes of troops and 50 turns. It took anything from 30 to 45 minutes a turn and oh lord the arty. By the time it was over the map look like the moon so many shell holes it took forever to get anywhere, what a great battle it was. :D :D ;)

You mean it's not a medium map? ;) :p :D

Just shoot everywhere till you start getting kills...then shoot there...LOTS of shooting there, untill you get no more casualties.

Funny Funny, the map size is as big as you can get, with a river running through it about 3 to 4 hexs wide, its a nice map it would be very good for a 4 way
