Suggestion: Building new fortifications

Post by Deadmoon »

I would like to be able to build new fortifications (like you could now build Mulberry ports). They had to be very, very expensive, though (they take a long time to be built, but possible in the scope of the game)

That would allow Axis to build the Atlantic Wall, Sigfried Line or Gothic line, which are not depicted at all in the game.

Game engine does not allow to delay purchases, so the only solution for that are events.

You could (as i do) assume that the instant purchase of units reflects the fact that you were "saving" PP´s to buy it so the decission was made several turns before...yeah, it´s a bit abstract. That´s the way i deal with it.

So if a fortification costs, let´s say, 600 PP´s the purchasing would reflect the time when you were saving PP (or building the fortification). No need for delays.

That's actually rather an elegant way to approach the problem!
