What's The Deal the AI? AI SITTING ON THE DUFF.

Post by mantrain »

I am playing the most recent patch (1.31) from the members club... Played as TEP, and walked all over a CP that was sitting on the Duff... Same thing as CP. TEP does nothing to be aggressive!

1914 scenario?  If the CP didn't attack in Aug and Sept 1914 then your AI file is probably corrupted (all data in the file is now zeroes).  Try the hotfix which is a replacement for the AI file (make sure you copy over the existing one) and that should work.

In this link Greg says it was posted in the members club, called "hotfix" I think.

The AI.AIX file is in the root folder of Guns of August, same one as the executable

Frank- Yes the 1914 scenario and yes i have patched w/ the hotfix. Have played both sides and seems like AI is more passive in the latest beta (1.31). But I know there have been a number of changes and fixes to gameplay so I'll have another go at it.

Well why is everyone so adverse to PBEM anyways?  seems like GOA has a very weak multiplayer community!

I've been PBEMing for more than one year constantly, as have my opponents.

The current game has been going on forever. I believe we started in December if not November (with some breaks due to travelling). And we're deep into 1919 now. Should be over by tomorrow. If you want to, you can play me next.
