I seem to recall a lot of forum fuss over something called a Spud Launcher as well.

Another thing, probably is not in AE...

Would be nice to allow CVEs in ASW TFs, to make real life "hunter-killer" ASW groups, like they had in Atlantic.

I have tried with CVEs in CVE Escort following ASW FT...but I don't remember what happened. And I didn't know if ASW TF should follow CVE TF or vise versa...[:'(] So ability to have CVEs in ASW TF would be nice.

BOINK(tm) isn't as good as KABLAMMO(tm)

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Well, how about KaBoink!(tm)

Yes it is, and the website for it is probably available, so lower marketing costs.[:D][:D][:D]

"Will ASW TF ships be editable? "

Currently you can put any 4 ASW-capable ships available into a dedicated "ASW TF".

Gentlemen, we must not forget the United States Navy's device for warning ships that they had been targeted for a torpedo attack. This device was to be incorporated into the torpedoes used in submarines in a 1 in 10 ratio, and was called the KaBong warning system. This ingenious attempt at courtesy despite international conflict was used to alert the targeted ship to allow the passengers and crew to get ready for their eminent destruction. Unfortunately, it also alerted the escort forces. Further, it seems that an ordering error produced far more of these devices than were necessary (the ratio became 9 in 10 instead of 1 in 10). The Navy, ever mindful of its budgetary responsibility, allowed for the over shipped devices to be used. It took many months for the shipping error to be corrected. In the end, Kabong was discontinued as an unwarranted expense, and a confusion of mission requirements for the delivery system.

No plans for Atlantic-style Hunter-Killer groups.

I'm bad. Use three words when ten would do. Let me try again. Will ASW be editable to include CVE if we want to mod to include Atlantic style ASW task forces?

Thanks to the AE crew for all the work you have put in on making this monster better.

BTW since AE's release date is not going to be told to the waiting masses, when will 1.807 be released?[:D]

If you look at post #486 Don says no, if I understand correctly.

Hello gentlemen,

flipper, you are correct. The different types of ships that can be included in the different types of TFs is determined by a table in the code. This is not editable.

Will it be possible to force one side to take a certain amout of warship ship tonnage from scenario instead of having a retirement date in a specific ship?
I mean if a BB that is about to be retired from scenario is sunk before that eventually would have been an adjustment and another ship would probably be retired. ?

I think what he is saying is - if a BB that was scheduled to be withdrawn, is sunk before withdrawl, will the player be forced to withdrawl ships of an equivalent tonnage to the tonnage of the BB that was sunk and is no longer available to be withdrawn.

If that is the question, then ... no.
