Perhaps I should be more worried about your armies that are perma-camped on my borders?

Still, I can't blame you for wanting to distract attention from your own country, as you are quite clearly winning.....

My armies are camped at my own border, the fact that you have gone on a wild dilpomatic killing spree leads to my troops coming close to your borders [:D]

Nah I am not winning. Sure I got a good start, but look at the country details in the diplomatic screen. I'm not producing anything [:@]

Neither. "Someone" went to war with them, and they ran for someone to protect them, and without my knowledge my empire grew. [8D]
Not that that is all good though...waste is a concern [X(]

The nuances of the diplomacy system are now beginning to really annoy me.

Lost 80 Glory this turn because France decided to liberate Berg.

Lost 40 Glory each turn for 4-5 turns whilst at war with France because Britain could not fulfill their treaty obligations.

I should really be winning! Instead I'm 7th!

Just a thought; I’m still really learning the game and its intricacies, but maybe folk are using the Def Alliance Treaty in the wrong way, or, to soon in a partnership, for eg in the other game I squashed one straight off as I didn’t want to get into someone else’s wars, however it also protects me from just such probs if the other parties to the Treaty collapse, conversely when I did sign up to one it was knowing that the only other nation concerned was already at war with me, so little likelihood of probs there.

As I say, just a thought.

Heh I thought maybe that was why, but they were still neutral after a few turns... was trying to figure out why it didn't happen until now. lol about the waste... I have my first province with 5 courts in anticipation of... losing territory. [:D]

Interesting about the glory points loss, thanks for the heads up about the diplomacy problems... i haven't had to deal with that yet as I've been at war with everyone in both games. [:D]

lenin, are you sure you took a hit from Berg and not because of Freisland?

I think an Ambasador did a 'Coup' on the Papal states last turn, dunno if thats how it works.

PS whoever's got the Papal States ... "I want my subsidies back!"
