I play out inning by inning 95% of my games. The part of the game I enjoy most is managing the actual games. I'm not a big fan of doing the administrative tasks and play without financials. However, I definitely will do what I have to do to try to get a winning team together!

PS, Welcome back PadresFan!!

Thanks Tomas!

As for me, I like to play small fictional associations based on 70's style baseball... Usually leave financial's off as well, and I play out all my teams games..

As my "locker reports" indicate, I manage every game of my team. Real players only, with my favorite era being 1939-1957. I love "alternate history", and the old Brooklyn Dodgers serve perfectly for that kind of managerial role-playing. My buddy Let's Play 2 dubbed me "Trader KG", as I love the wheeling and dealing aspect of the game. The new era-specific financial model has encouraged me to start using it. So, the "reserve clause", in my associations, has been tossed aside.

For the "1960-present day" era, my team is the Pittsburgh Pirates.

I manage every game of the NY Mets. I started with 2007 actual roster and am now at the All-Star break in 2018. Over that time, Washington has proved to be my biggest nemesis and I have played the Royals twice in the World Series. The Yankees, meanwhile, have finished over .500 only twice over that span.

I do all simulations also. No financials, real players, injuries on, computer AI trades allowed. Current association was began in 1903 and I am currently in middle of 1977 having used historical ballparks, team moves, and added expansion teams in '61, '62, '69 & '77. I plan on simming this association until '92 and then retiring it and beginning another association starting with 1920 season using the 1.75 version of PS with financials on for a change.

Nice to see some newer faces in here.. given some of you may have been around here for awhile but I go back to like 2003 and have known some of you for years.  So again nice to see some new faces and some old(KG :P) ones too LOL

I prefer to manage all my games.  If I'm doing real life and like (2008) I do the St. Louis Cardinals.  If I'm doing older times I'll usually pick the mid eighties Athletics so I can have McGwire, Canseco, Weiss, Steinbach, Eckersley etc.. my all time favorite team :)

I also play out all of my games as it is fun to manage the team as well as work on improving the roster. I usually play will current MLB rosters as I seem to struggle to keep interest in an league otherwise. I usually play with my Cubbies, but I also run with a team that has historically struggled and see if I can make a difference. With the new updates, I have taken on the Royals to see if I can make George Brett proud.

I play a fictional league with real players starting in 1950. I am up to 1983 seaon now. I have been able to assemble some real deams teams. I sim regular season and manage the playoffs as a reward for making it. PLay with finances on. I must be a weirdo because I think the contracts, draft and free agent stuff is some of the best fun.

Mates

... It's very gratifying to see all kinds of manner in playing this game so others can duplicate what you do ... It's really impossible to be bored in this game ... I, myself, playing from 1900 onward with real players in a fictional league ... finances on, injury on, with all the stuff to make it harder for me to manage ... I sim halves the regular season of lesser teams and the rest I managed against tougher teams and the play-offs, if I'm lucky ... But overall, Mates, this is by far the best *&^*-free sport game I have played in since the cards, pencil and pad days ...

I've been a supporter of this game for a long time and will continue to support Shaun however I can.  Glad he's enjoying working on the game again.  I really don't know how much more he can do to the game.. it's pretty solid as is!!!

I do historical replays, usually starting from 1903. I'm on the year 2000 in an association that goes back a few builds of Puresim.

I'll probably do a fictional association next with historical parameters (teams, expansion, etc.) until the aging model is tweaked a little.
