BB AMMO Reload ~ Port Size

Greetings,

It is wished to know what port size is needed to reload IJN battleship ammo and what effect is made with the presence of AE class vessels in the port.

Dont know exactly the port size (could be 3+ with enough supplies and Fuel to refuel ships). As for AE(Ammo ship) it will replenish all non-torpedo, non-mine with effect less than 60 (for USN all 5inch and smaller guns).

All I can say is what I think i recall from the manual and/or another thread I cannot find any more:

AFAIK AE ship effects before '45 are linked to being at a friendly base, and the AE ships can only replenish gun ammo with an effect <60. Thus I think there will be no help with BB ammo, and I think they do not modify port properties.

To replenish a BB, I thought the base needed to be at least a level 3 port (tied ability to disband at a base).

Not sure whether this is correct though - just what I think.

All you need to replenish BBs is a level 1 port and in one turn all the fuel and 18 inch shells are replenished from a tiny port. That´s how it is in WITP, no longer in AE.

Castor is right, I was wrong. Just ran an experiment (stock, 1.806).
