Scoreboard

All right, you talented designers. Let's see some scoreboards!

(What happened to the previous scoreboard? Even that looked better than what's in there now.)

My talent (such as it is) lies with drawing programs, not HTML and CSS files.  So while I have an idea that I'd like to execute, it's not going to be as easy as I'd hoped!

Making progress... if I can figure out how to adjust margins, spacing, etc, I may have something soon...

I'm SO close... just waiting on some support from Shaun...

It's nothing incredibly fancy, but it's clean.  It uses the dark green with white trim look of the classic ballpark scoreboards....

Whew... At 12:24am tonight I finally had a breakthrough in understanding HTML/CSS... [:)]

Take a look at the attached image. Please let me know what you think. I created a new custom background, got rid of the top line that used to say "Scoreboard", and changed some font sizes and made everything bold.

- Do you like the team names right justified?
- Do you like the line separating the inning numbers from the scores?
- Do you like the situation text centered where it is? Should I try create a graphical box around it, or leave it alone?

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Looks nice! Al, think how many new marketable skills you are devloping just figuring out how to mod PureSim! :)

I was going to tell you this over email, but I'll say it here in case others are interested. If you want to draw a scoreboard in Photoshop, you can mod that way too. Instead of an HTML table for layout you can use css absolute positioning and place individual DIV elements at each place where the team name, line score, R H E etc are in your picture.

Thanks Shaun. The problem is, that last sentence reads "banana, banana, banana" to me. CSS absolute positioning & DIV elements are still foreign to me. I'm just glad I was able to crack the HTML table code as it is.... [:D]

That scoreboard looks very nice! I really like the right justification of the team names.

Thanks Wrath. I have a couple more tweaks I want to experiment with today, and then I will post an installer for it.

I'm using it now and it looks pretty cool. Of course, my devious mind is already thinking of other enhancements for it. [:D]

I installed the scoreboard last night. I like it. It looks so much better than the default scoreboard. Thanks for your work on this, Al.
