Ballparks and Fences

Post by Hard Sarge »

I still think something is wrong with how the game uses the distances to the fences

so far, I have had 3 395 foot fly outs to a 380 foot fence (now, I understand the ball path may not be true, so where I think it is, and where the game thinks it is, may be different)

but this one, a 403 foot flyout to right field

and this one was to right center, not center right

Okay, I'll have a look.

The sim engine takes a ton of stuff into account when it comes to ball flight, batter power, altitude, wind and air temperature. Maybe I have an issue with the code that shows the result on the field.

the biggest hassle and I understand, anything can happen, but...

we can't have the game tells us a ball was hit 317 foot, and the fence is 345 feet away, and it be a homerun (just lost a game to that one) (now, right down the line it was 315, but this was in mid left field, either fly path grahpics are wrong, or distance is)
