Hill 247

Post by V22 Osprey »

Not really a full AAR, I just wanted to show you guys of me getting my butt kicked.[:D]

Look at this fierce soviet counter-attack.[X(]

I've never seen anything like it.[X(]

What do you guys think?Should I run or make a stand?

Looks like you've lost anyway, so I would make a stand and try out some counter-attacking tactics in the last few turns.

My remaining forces still trapped on hill give up and decide to do one last ditch effort to take the hill.Of course, there is no way for them to hold out:

Second to last turn, I create a new line of defence.Trapped units still on the hill are unable to dislodge that SMG Platoon:

Well I guess I will share my final thoughts:

Great scenario, but the counter attack IMO is a little too much. The counter attack should level the playing field, not make the soviets un beatable. The soviets cut through my lines like a hot knife through butter.Dispite me being able to force multiple retreats on the counter attack, they just kept coming.

Man, I have been away from this game for far too long! Thanks for posting this. It was a fun look back. I think I need to get this game before too long. Had all the versions years ago, but it looks like them made some changes. I have followed several AAR's here and they have all been fun to watch. Again, Thanks!
