As I stated in the Tech forum, do you have at least the LV patch 1.1 installed?

Yes, I have the LV 1.1 Patch installed and the sound patch. I will keep my corespondance here for now on and not use Tech support forum. The previous battle was clearing of a collective farm and i got the 50mm At gun improvement and the HT 250/1 for one squad and the boep Fo. I ended with a decisive victory and choose low road option 2 for the pripet marshes paptov scenario??? Hope this helps. thanks for the assistance!!!!!

Can you post the save here zipped( 3 files total) and I'll see if it can be debugged or email at Mike I know you said the SPWAW patch was installed correctly, can you tell me how you installed the LV patch 1.1 Is this a fresh start of LV after 1.1 patch was installed or did you continue after applying patches.

I do not remember exactly how i installed it I am not very computer literate. I did start over from the beginning after the 1.1 patch and noticed the game differences from the original. I will try to email mike because i do not know how to send the files here. thanks

I've got it and is corrupted, so it's not your LV install causing the problem. Now to try and find out which file is the culprit and why.

Initial indications from the errors received point to a corrupted *.cam file which has been addressed before. One thing that has been stressed with MegaCamapign saves is to make a backup of a known good save. Because with a problem like this it's unrecoverable which means you would have to start over or get a copy from a gamer in about the same place in the Campaign.

This "OOB data not found" thingy actually has nothing to do with any OOB files! Usually it is caused either by a missing or corrupted *.cam in the "Save" folder.

Missing *.cam files is usually be caused by not letting the MC engine do his "Autosave" job, meaning...exit out of the game without confirming "autosave" or any crash to desktop.
Same goes for corrupted *.cam file although it also was formerly caused by the core.dat issue that is fixed for patch #1.

Give the game a chance to save the campaign fully before doing anything else with the game maybe 10 full seconds will ensure that all the data is written to the disk, even its it says it's done I bet the HD light is still blinking.

Help

I am having the exact same problem, at the same scenario

I play and win the wittmans scenario, no problems

I load/play/win the 'collective farm scenario' - no problems

When it goes to load either of the low road scenarios, it crashes
with the OOB not found errors

I have the 1.1 and the sound patches installed.

This has happened 6 times now, everytime when I go to load
the scenario with the two 'low road' choices !!!

I have gone back to the beginnng of the wittmans scenario
and replayed, giving the machine 30sec+ to save games files
at all times. I still get the problem

Gmenfan - My latest save file is attached (hopefully)

Can anyone send a functioning save file for the start of the low road scenarios ????

The lv_04.zip is toasted. The lv_wittmans.zip is perfectly intact, I'm going to finish off the lv_wittmans.zip save and see if something is getting corrupted at the end battle.
I finished up this battle and got no corruption at the beginning of the next battle for either option I chose. So it's fine to continue with this one if you choose.

Hi Gmenfan or any other kind soul

I would consider it a great favour if you could send a copy of a working saved game for early in the patapov-pripet marshes scenario (The one with the two low-road choices)

I have replayed the scenario in between wittmans and the low-roads about 6 times - it is called "Kolkhoze, Malin-Korston Area"
and somewhere between its end and the start of the 'low roads' the save game is being trashed :-(

As a matter of interest, here is the save from turn 1 of the "Kolkhoze, Malin-Korston Area" scenaio, does anyone know if this is still a valid save ??

Hi Gmenfan,

So what do you think is the nature of the corruption ?
You said you thought it was in the *.cam file, but I have not had time to sit down with these files to see what is wrong

Thanks for any info

The cause is unknown, with the help of another veteran we are trying to use a hex editor to cut and past good data from a generic LV Mega scenario over corrupted data within your files. Attempting to retain your experience and current campaign progression, and replacing what could be a corruption in the remaining rank structure code. Replacement leaders may become an issue but at least you would be able to continue with current stats a leaders.

Anthony, I may have a good save of an early Pripet Marshes scenario. I just save them as scen"x" so I'm not sure which ones I have but I can send you one and if it is too early or too late, I'll send you the previous or next one I have.

I'm on scen 17 by my count and I just got out of the Marshes so I would guess that my scen12 save would be what you are after. Do you want it?

there may be another way to get past this problem, the game also give me the OOB error no matter which of the two options i choose, however if i choose "no option" the game doesen`t crash.

The problem with this method is that i loose the 50 mm guns and the halftracks.
