Hello,
ORIGINAL: Poor Old Spike

Sorry Matrix but I'm abandoning Op Barb because I just don't like the 3D graphics, give me a whistle when an update comes out with an option for 2D 'counter' graphics and i'll come back to it.;)

Now you can continue, NATO Symbols have arrived [;)]

Look around the net and you'll see at least half of all wargamers saying they won't touch Op Barb because of the "childish 3D graphics".
If Matrix give them a "2D counter" option it'd double the sales of the game.

The game is essentially a Beer&Pretzel one...no need for hardcore gamers to use the symbols. I think it was made with casual gamers (and PG fans) in mind so i EXPECT little 3d graphics...the game wouldn´t catch my attention otherwise.

Absolutely right! [:o]

I. I´m one of those who like the 3D graphics. [;)]
But not the relation. [:-]

i. So scale up the tanks 20% to 25% and scale down the infantery 20% to 25%.
Or add a slider so you can adjust the size by you liking - is that an idea?

II.For me, the atmosphere in a game is important! It is not a highly strategic game. I´m sure you can score with Atmosphere!
To this end, I like to see:

i. Add more music.
ii. And I want it shuffle!
iii. What about awards of units?
iv. Picture of commanders of both sides.
v. Historic Images.
vi. Historic videos.
vii. What about with a lexicon. Or/and biographies? - See "Generals' Biographies Project": tt.asp?forumid=316
Volunteers there do a outstanding job!
Call for Volunteers! Call for arms!

Are there already night battles in the game?

OK you all got your 2D NATO icons, what else?

Anyone try PBEM? I'd like to try it with Dropbox file sharing.

I wish for replay in PBEM
