World in Flames style AE map

Post by Andrew Brown »

Being a WiF player of old, I like the way WiF uses "hexdots" to represent ocean hexes. So I use a WiF style map for WitP-AE(see JPEG sample).

The map files are available here:

War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition: Updated Official Map

To use the map, download the map from my site (using the link for the 'World in Flames' style map) and follow the instructions in the Readme file.

Andrew

Great looking Map Andrew!  I don't usually play with hex's on because I like a cleaner looking map, but this is the best of both worlds. Good stuff!

Andrew!

Good Work! Am hoping that your world famous (ok - got a bit carried away; but still true!) extended map will be available at some point in the future!

Big fan of this mod [:)]

Used to play solataire WiF for years before the advent of good PC strategy games. The Map and counter art from the last edition is still great to look at

Hello,

This is not only awesome, but on my slower machine it actually improves scrolling so much that playing is 10 times easier.

It was a pain to actually scroll with original map and hexes on.

So, thanks a million! A already great game is even better!

Is this map mode still compatible with the 1.01.06i patch ?
