Looks fantastic! What program did you use to make the stadium? Was it Blender or Gamespace? How did you teach your self? I been wanting to make true current NCAA stadiums for my league.
Thanks. I'm afraid I haven't graduated to actual stadium building. About all I've learned how to do is manipulate the textures and stadiumdata files to add or subtract a few simple things from existing stadiums, and create some end zone art. Gary Sorrell and Localh are the ones who really pioneered the stadium building, I think, though being new to Max FB myself I don't really know for sure. I think they use Gamespace Light to create the 3D structures, though.
Some nice multi-use stadium designs are out there. When I started looking at some of them I realized that with a bit of tweaking here and there I could get them looking more or less like the old vintage ballparks that the NFL teams played in back in my favorite era of the game. You can radically change the looks of these stadiums by changing the textures. Not just color, but texture as well--i.e., a wall can be made into a chain-link fence or brick or wood, or whatever. You can change the skyline. You can use the hot pink color in the texture files to make certain things "invisible." Combined together, these tricks can work wonders on changing one stadium into another.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but if you find out how to design them from scratch, please write a tutorial!
