historical occupation of Manchukuo and Korea

Post by gwgardner »

Some of you have forgotten a lot more about the historical situation in China and Korea during the War than I ever knew, so I was wondering what the garrisoning situation was like for the Japanese in Manchukuo and Korea. Were those areas completely pacified, was there a need for occupation troops? Was there any kind of resistance? Unrest?

I'm trying to decide how to handle the Japanese troops that are stationed in those areas in the game. Should they be left there, per some historical need? Or should they be considered available for action elsewhere?

[I'm not referring to a game change, just a house rule that I want to follow.]

Don't think there's unrest in the said areas.  But they are there to deter the Soviets from crossing the border.
