When ?

The team behind the award-winning game Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive early days of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris simulates Germany’s military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 (including also a hypothetical “Sea Lion” invasion of Great Britain).

Did you bother reading any other threads here before starting a new one? From Erik in a thread already in this forum:
Hi TPM,

We are hoping to release by the end of August. More info is also coming, I believe there will be an AAR and some Developer's Notes going up at the Wargamer soon, along with plenty more screenshots to be added here.

Regards,

- Erik

Great. Must buy to see this game up close. Maybe after that a few more instalments - Balkans, North Africa and of course eastern front and France 1944
Maybe next instalments can be France 1944.

Well, i prefer see a title covering east front, at the game scale (5 to 10 km per hex and turns of 1 to 2 or more days) is possible cover in the next title Barbarossa as main campaign with sub campaigns covering north, central and south front and can do it until... the end of Typhoon for example [:D]

End of August?  Excellent!  Time to blow more dough and then start saving for War in the East!  Hmmmm - wonder if I can find a part time job?  Nah!  Then I wouldn't have time to play these games!!!

Wow...that's how it *should* be done. Catch that wave of early exitement, great job !

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

I am with you, 5K hexs and 1-2 day turns would be my prefered choice. I think WitE is 10 miles or 10 K and weekly turns. But I would prefer a smaller scale and less time, sort of a cross between what WitE and HPS's Panzer Campaigns series.

Of course East front is better, have many units like west but with enough terrain for movement fight [;)] i prefer the HPS scale because in one day you can do many things and you have more turns to fix mistakes, with 1-2 day turns is hard do this and every mistake is critical [X(] but is hard find the best choice because more turns means larger scens (sometimes titanic scens) but less turns could be to short... is a hard thing find the perfect scale and even with it this isnt the best for all people [:D]

The AAR is interesting but i think that is more an "history" AAR than a "learning" AAR, i expect an AAR where how and why were more important than what... ooo the screens used are to small and is very hard see it [&:]

+1 on the AAR screen size being too small...I can't read any detail at 1600x900. But its a recurring Wargamer AAR screen issue for me; and not limited to this AAR.
