Generals Initiative Rating

Post by pjwheeling »

In a previous thread I mentioned that I thought that only Tactics and Leadership were taken into account for Generals during Quick Combat. It just dawned on me that I may not have taken another rating into account. Is it correct to say that the Initiative rating for Generals comes into play during the movement phase as the AI determines in what order to move armies based on the Generals Initiative rating?

Initiative and Command ratings both factor in as well, but I forget just how, and Eric (= programmer, lead developer, etc.) is camping somewhere in the woods of Michigan. I'll e-mail him a link to this thread so he can give a more informed response.

Gil,

That sounds great. I appreciate your willingness to pursue these answers for me.

By the way, although I am sharing my interest in playing FOF using Quick Combat, I am excited about the upcoming game "Brother Against Brother", which obviously centers around Detailed Battles. Being able to fight the Detailed Battles on the actual battlefields sounds awesome. I'm looking forward to it.[8D]

Good to know. I hope you'll like BAB when it comes out. (Which reminds me -- I should work on OOB's tonight!)

Gil,

Has Eric been able to offer any more information regarding the usage of Initiative and Command Ratings in Quick Combat?
