Empires of Steel DRM free!
The lead developer Brit has stated that if he gets 100 likes on his facebook page he would release a DRM Free version of the game! This is good news for those sitting on fence because of DRM issue.

I gave it a like for you.
Conflict of Heroes "Most games are like checkers or chess and some have dice and cards involved too. This game plays like checkers but you think like chess and the dice and cards can change everything in real time."

I did the same.....I will buy it once it's DRM free.

I will buy too, but I don't do twitter, facebook, etc...

I did not get it and it had nothing to do with DRM. It was the price on release date (I know we are all tired of hearing complaints on price but it's true). The price was way too high for something that looked and played way to similar to an Empires clone. For what it's worth, I did have fun with the demo so I can understand why some people feel justified paying so much for the game.

It's only $20 now and it's up to 54 likes.

I too was reluctant to purchase EoS at the initial listed price. However, it's since been lowered to $20.00, which seems a lot more reasonable to me. Between that and the game (hopefully) dropping the DRM, you may want to check it out now.

You're not alone.
"Lose" is the opposite of "win." "Loose" is the opposite of "tight."

Flawed game, for me, it's not about price.

The game has improved tremendously over the last year. I'm a total Empire fan and bought the game right after it came out. It's like Empire Deluxe on steroids, way better than the previous versions. The main problem now is the all seeing AI. Humans have fog of war but the AI doesn't. Brit has said he wants to fix it and I believe he will. But that's a game breaker for me and I'll wait until he does to play any more. But it's certainly not a flawed game, just needs a little more work.

^ Yep that would be a game breaker for me too.

I guess I should try and explain my comment. It's a game that seems to have been developed with a pvp approach with not special efforts made on pvc, (AI) and now seems to be hitting some limits.

Let's say the computer ai has been lacking and that's why I haven't played much. But over the last month or so it's been a priority. Still needs work but it's coming. Most games have an ai problem and, for example, Advanced Tactics is not an exception. The ai does not use carriers or paras at all. Not at all. And other units, such as engineers, are deficient. But that doesn't keep it from being a good game if you work around its limitations. Wait on EoS a couple of months and take another look. I've thought from the beginning it has a ton of potential.

I'd say, irrespective if the game is flawed, we should all be likin' the dude just to move gaming one step closer to being TOTALLY DRM free [:D]

I bought it after it went on sale and he stated they were wanting to go DRM free. I don't regret it. The thing is like a beer & pretzels wargame construction set with lots of built-in extras.
The gameplay is good light fun. I'm looking forward to creating the setting(s) I want. [8D]
