Season's Greetings from WCS

Post by Gil R. »

We at Western Civilization Software would like to wish all of you a happy new year, and to express our hope that you are having a merry Christmas or already enjoyed Hanukah/Hanukkah/Chanukah/etc. Or, if you're not religious, that you have at least enjoyed some secular aspect of the holiday season, such as the traditional appearance of Jay Thomas and Darlene Love on "Letterman."

It is a bit early to go into detail, but 2010 will see multiple releases from us, in a burst of creativity not witnessed by humanity since the Bay City Rollers were at the top of their game. This will include two games based on two new engines and at least one game (and possibly as many as five!) based on modified versions of the COG:EE/FOF engine. As soon as we see fit to announce the nature of these projects we shall do so, most likely along with a call for testers. (In the case of two projects we are quite close to starting testing, but since we already have a group of excellent testers who have helped us with COG:EE and FOF we will not make a call for testers until we are further along; in the case of the third definite product we will start internal testing sometime in March and probably issue a call for testers in summer.)

In the meantime, enjoy the holidays (and remember to take advantage of the Matrix sale!).

LOL, I remember those guys! I used to love their tunes when I was a young lad back in the 1970's.

Slick Wilhelm,
Please remind me of this when we issue the call for testers (which could be 3-4 weeks from now, if all is going well). Thanks!

Instead of writing a new holiday greeting to our customers, I hereby wish to recycle this post. Everything written a year ago applies, having been written a year prematurely...[8|]

(One of the projects has since been revealed, and is "Brother against Brother.")
