how do I bombard planets?

When I attack with my fleet, it attacks automatically. That's fine, but it also puts my troops down on the ground before the attack is finished and before I bombard the planet. And how do I bombard the planet? and how do I avoid that the troops is put down on the planet too early?

You have to put special bombard weapons on a ship design before you can bombard. If you are using automated design, I think any capital ship has bombard weapons.

Bombarding is generally considered really bad for you and your reputation. Makes the planet useless to you and makes you evil really quickly, which comes with tons of it's own issues.

It lowers planet quality temporarily.

It will affect your reputation if you bombard an empire with a good reputation.

If you have transports in a fleet it will auto invade.You need to ctrl right click on a planet with the bombard ship individually.
