Hi!

Link to a new version. Playable zoom2 map.
(A big draw-back is that the map regarding names is not yet synchronized into the game engine.)
But, more names, better coastlines and borders of some intern Soviet-republics.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AE49OW10

Link to the jpg full-format map.
Usefull as planning map. Adjust size and it will be printable.
( Dont make it so little that you cant read the names.)

In german Krakow is Krakau, Lodz is called Litzmannstadt (from 1940 to 1945), Katowice is Kattowitz and the Vistula is the Weichsel. Obviously, I believe that it was appearing this way in the German maps of the period.

Hi!
You are right of course. The naming is not (yet?)100% German. Especially in east- and west part of the map. The rivers are not changed
since they are named graphically in a beautiful way.

Hi!
In a week I plan to have finished my work with the latest planning map.
Its updated with nearly all important(?)[&:] geographical names from 3 German Operationskarten.
Dated -42-43.Its of course difficult to choose from a lot of names but size and
historical interest are two major goals. Other are names along rail lines.
The negative thing is that the names are not into the game engine.
Some names are changed and then they are not similar to the names in the game.
Of corse no railway hexes or vegetation types have been changed.
Here is a look at The Baltics. The "a" is for a hasty attack. ( Big A for planned attack).

goranw,

From an historical interpretation perspective, your map gets better and better. Lots of little details that add to the game and make it "feel" correct. Thanks!

Hi!
I dont have a "hexes version".
Its done on a nonhex map. I had to choose.
When I click on the link and then see the map I can download it.
( that is, if that is what You mean with the jpg-link.
The links earlier given are regarding TGA-files.

GoranW,

A hex overlay could be added to your final map quite easily. What editing program are you using? PhotoShop? GIMP? Other?
