I am not sure i agree with your opinion that the EF is totally set. hehehehe...but it's getting there. Right now...we have Barbarossa....41-45.....so i think continuing on in the same vein....have each year represented. In 42....start with the Summer offensive to Stalingrad.....to 45....in 43...Start with Kursk...to 45....in 44...start with the Russian offensive to 45....you get the idea.

my idea is that if players do not want to fight the entire war...they can start at different years...and also they can have a choice of using tigers after august 42. As it stands now, unless the player alters the oob's...you cant play with tigers until Budapest to Vienna DCG. ([:D] I did alter my oob's and i do have tigers for Barbarossa!)

This is an AWESOME idea. I like to play the East Front DCG. A long process and being able to start it at different points would be fantastic.

How about some late war upgrades for East Front? Maybe a company of Tiger's and giving some of the nasty German AT units like JagdPanthers? The Panthers are fun, but looking foward to having some of these BIG units in the last 6 months or so of the war would be fun.

again flak......you can do this all youself by altering the oob files and the campaign file. do you have version 1.04? if you do...read Simovitch's excellent manual on modifing DCG's. His manual is a must read! You can find it in your hidden game files. I think its under manuals.....but i am not sure.

Incidentally, i have altered my oob's so i get the latest upgrades. but remember. I do this only for DCG's....i have not tried to do for LCG's or the stand alone senarios. It may or not be possible. but i suspect it is possible.

if you try to do this on your own and have questions....ask jason, simovitch, or me. and I am sure there are many others out there who know this.

good luck flak 88.

I normally have a million things on my wishlist but since we have a good, full year to drop our wishes into the basket I'll just start with one. BTW, Borst50 ideas are great ... except for the ones that can be made as a mod. Perhaps a mod will come up within a year to fill the gap, I dunno.

Anyway ....

1. The possibility of having the campaign.PDT be campaign specific. In other words, instead of a global campaignPDT effecting all the DCG's I'd prefer one for each.

Now, I figure this can be done just like the other files we use for a DCG ... ie, weather.dat ... The name of the campaign is "tagged" onto the front of the file ... so, "My Campaign" becomes "My Campaign-weather.dat".

You see, a new campaignPDT for "My Campaign" would read ... "My Campaign-campaign.dat"

I find it usefull to make small tweaks in the campaignPDT to maximize the playablity of the campaign. Getting stuck with a global PDT is bad because we have to uninstall one campaign (via JSGE, thank goodness for this), and then reinstall another campaign.

Thanks for reading,

Rob

Hard to believe that it has been two years since this post.

I'm hoping for DCGs post May 45 and Aug 45.

I would love to see a campaign of either sort covering the Popski's Private Army. I love the scenario in the West.

I would like to see all new Nationalities included in the new Generated battle format. A easier way to make new maps. Infrastrucure that can be damage like Buildings and Bridges.

A way to include C47 and other transport Airplanes and more Naval Ships so that we would or can mimic simple Naval Battle like the Battle of Guadacanal.

I believe this upgrades would make John Tiller campaign series a better representative of World war two.

It would be nice to have a DCG of the Sino-Japanese Incidence,Nomohan Incident,Invation of Japan,Manchuria,Salerno,Invation of Sothern France,Secound Finland War with Russia.

Thank you

Jason,

I believe, if i read the post correctly, he wishes to have a "amphib" landing senario to be randomly generated for beach landings with the appropiate types of landing craft. At least, I think thats what he meant. [:D]

What I would like to see is general and direct indirect fire support from higher echelon units (Divisional, Corps, Army). You might get a requested fire mission from a general support artillery unit and would always get a requested fire mission from a direct support artillery unit. It would also be interesting to have different types of sheaf pattens (converged and dispersed). Counter-battery fire might be good too. Just some thoughts.

Personally I would like to see more types of obstacles such as dragons teeth, Czech hedgehogs, or some of the barriers the Germans used on the beaches of Normandy. Chris
