Your probably toast. Your army will look like the Romanian army in 2 turns of the Blizzard. You will be almost back to the Dnepr come spring.

If against the AI, you might have a chance, against a human, run like the wind. All the way back to Moscow. Force him to waste 3-4 blizzard turns walking to your defense line. That is your only hope. Dig level 4 forts everywhere. Keep all troops in large cities and population 4 towns, once you see him, move your units to the defense line and start praying.

Now.

Find the 3 & 4 pop towns just east of Moscow and start plopping down. Get 2nd Army moved to wherever you want it, and shuffle the rest of your armies. You can still have a linebacker in place, but you probably should retreat back off Stalingrad to rostov/Stalino area, otherwise you won't have the troops for a defense.

Form as straight a line as possible, don't give the Soviets 4 (3 if you can help it) hexsides to attack from. Put your mountain boys anywhere there are 3 sides to attack. The Rum mnt and Hung mtn boys are your friends as well. (No comments on how Hung the MTN boys are, please)...[;)]

I assume this is AI. But not sure what difficulty?

The giant cushion will help you as the Soviets have to literally crawl back to you, while reforming. And their supply will be terrible. You have them nearly decimated.

Alternately, you could lunge for Gorki, and Baku and gather enough points to force an auto-victory perhaps. It will be close, but you might be able to do it. I assume you have 260 or so vp's? That is if you have Sevastopol, and a fairly consistent extreme South advance as compared to the north?

Hell, even better pull most back and leave a nice screen of broken down into regiment divisions in front - come Blizzard they will suffer, but they can pull back 2 hexes (and you have a LONG way to pull back) and I bet it is close to Feb before you get the meat of the offensive.  Rest of the units in towns back by Moscow, Khakov, Stalino with warm logs on the fire, vodka in ever soldier - should be simple.
