-Yasukuni. IJN version of Ki-67. "Yasukuni" might actually be the name of the naval unit, that employed these bombers in RL, but I can't find any other designation for them.
[/i]

Long time lurker here, I just figured I'd chime in about this designation. I took a quick look, and naval attack variant of the Ki-67I was indeed referred to as Yasukuni(靖国) after the Yasukuni Shrine. The interceptor version (Ki-109) was also referred to as Yasukuni.

I really wanted that 800 kg payload.  Is the d4y4 is worth the R/D?
Ummm.
Now I see the d5y1 myojo w/ the 800kg payload.....it sure does look good. In the tree w/ the d3a2val.

What A/C aircraft uses the HA 34 engine? Is there an easy way to find out what aircraft and what future aircraft uses what engine?

Off top of my head only 2 planes use the ha34.
Ki44 and the ki49.

select the engine tab in air production, then select ha34.

So is it even worth making the HA 34 or should I just switch to something more useful like Ha 31,32,33 or 35 for early 1942?

Well, most IJ players like the Helen and Tojo.  And they tend to build a LOT of them.  Like everything else in the IJ economy, you need to plan it and then make your moves slow and easy.  Fragile economies don't react nicely to heavy handed techniques.

Maybe so but the HA34 only is for the Helen's and the Tojo is HA 35's. So at this point I don't think it is necessary to have two factories making HA34's and I think I will switch one of those factories for HA35's. I believe that the Japanese can never have enough of the HA35's. lol :-)

Tojo is nowadays using (historical) Ha-34. One of the patches changed it.

Oh really? I thought I had the latest patch? Or does the game just not tell you and it is just a surprise when they use a different engine than otherwise indicated? Are there anymore surprises to expect that the game is also not telling me about? lol

It was 5th patch, 1.01.06i

5.14. [768] Ki-44 Tojo: Engine changed to Nakajima Ha-34.
5.15. [769] Ki-44-IIa Tojo: Engine changed to Nakajima Ha-34.
5.16. [770] Ki-44-IIb Tojo: Engine changed to Nakajima Ha-34.
5.17. [771] Ki-44-IIc Tojo: Engine changed to Nakajima Ha-34.

No problems with ongoing games, unless you accepted DB changes. I did once, and run out of Ha-34s.

Apparently this mod have same changes.

I just checked and I have 1.04.1106i . Isn't that the latest patch and if so why doesn't the game tell me?

Hmmmm, I did accept data base changes but it is very early in the game for me when I did that like first two weeks of the war so probably doesn't matter.

1.04.1106i was the last official data patch build, but public beta1108m3 is the current exe patch build.

I'll make sure Stanislav knows this with RA 3.0 about to come out. THANKS!

EDIT: Just checked with Tracker and RA already has Tojo with Ha-34.

Tip for Japanese aircraft production - specialise specialise specialise! Find the planes you want for major roles and plan accordingly!!!

42nov report

Post by bigred »

November 42 has arrived in my game w/ Dirty Harry.  I have had a problem w/ loading tracker so I restarted tracker around 42oct.  I tried to use the nomad v4 defined regions but could not get a good reading.

highlights from the industry chart are:
1.. -1100 oil per day. this was around -4000 so aI have put a dent in the loss. But still need to look for a better path.
2. Supply continues to produce +27000 per day in Tokyo.

Report 3 shows engine production. I was alarmed at the ha-60 for the d4y1 judy. then saw I have a pool. Seems the judy just started production.
