Duel?!?! DUEL!?!? My a$$! You pulled out, fired. One return shot (missed of course), and then you blew them both to he!l. The PzIV series is about as worthless as it gets in this game. I have had LOTS better performance out of the M4, and that's not a joke. I have had a couple of M4's and a couple of Wolverines now throw back an entire company of PzIV's, and the ALLIES WERE ATTACKING!!!! I also had a hidden PzIV fire 4 or 5 close range shots at a Wolverine, from a hull down cover position, and missed every shot.

:p ;) :D about those M4's???

Ok...maybe it wasn't a duel...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

maybe it was more like sticking a gun thru the bars of a bird cage and shooting canaries off their perches. :p

I lamented with you on the woeful performance of the PzIV's...they use to be able to hold their own....and dish out nasty punishment when in a good defensive position. Now, for some reason, they are just plain dead meat in most cases. I have to agree with you that is seems like at least something changed somewhere...maybe by mistake even??? :(

However, on the other side of the coin...after all the bashing and insults...it is kind of sweet to watch you in agony. lol :D So, before my dreaded turn at commanding the Wehrmacht arrives, I'm going to try and enjoy stomping the Sh*t out of a couple more of your units...before that F9 key gets stroked out of pure frustration and/or disgust.

Not Too Bad of a Turn...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

Got another PzIV crew to bail in the south...and I think I have found a few gaps here and there. ;)
Southern most Vh's shouldb be back in my hands within a couple turns...once they are softened up bit and cut off from being reinforced.
In the center...I hold where I am for now...until I can force an opening elsewhere along this little line Goblin has erected. No Matter however...since I can sit back now and garner a good deal of points by having the VH's...forcing Goblin into a position of either attacking me for a change or hitting that F9 key. :D
To the north...I tinker around here and there...escaping a couple shots as my armor dashes about looking to cause my foe a few more headaches.
Ok...let's see where Gob throws in those Panthers and Jpanthers that I have seen from time to time. I know he always keeps a reserve for counterattacks.

Very quiet turn. I tried to kill a couple of things, including a Wolverine, and got 1 Jeep. Now you are in trouble!

Quiet Indeed...

Lots of arty flying about though.

I'm still re-grouping a bit after my mad dashes for the VH's...and breakdowns are more of nuisance than anything.

In the south I'm constricting Gob's hold on the two VH's he holds...shouldn't be long now.

Yet more disbelief...

Post by Goblin »

I suppress an immobilized M4, and draw his shots off, with a Luchs. I then move a PzIV just ONE hex. I am, to my surprise, fired upon by the M4! I return fire! Hit percent 22?!?!?! WTF!? A miss. He returns fire! Hit percent 76?!?!?!?!?!?! WTF?! I am killed instantly. This occured at a range of three or four hexes.

It would have been a massive task to just upgrade them to a tank , let alone to a 'super tank'. Its more likely he sabotaged our PzIV's.

Post by Orzel Bialy »

anyway...the correct file should be in your mail now Gob. Like I said...I screwed up and got a Wolverine into a bad spot...as well as a couple other units.
Nothing that will change the outcome mind you...but it was frustrating all the same.

Hmmm...ok, this is better...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

I was here once before, but hit the wrong button it would seem. :o Oh well.

Anyway...I took back the VH in the south and am still manuevering about elsewhere, trying to get things organized for a sortie.

Goblin...would those Tigers (actually saw only one...but where there's one there's at least another) my scouts spotted be part of a re-inforcement element???

Ok...enough.

Post by Orzel Bialy »

I lost three HT's at least...I stopped counting  and one M4 76 to a bolt out of nowhere!!!   Gob's armor and ATG's on the High ground have too clear a view of my approach zones...and I have no smoke shells left in my inventory to use.:(

Put that together with the fact that the infantry I have is too strung out to regroup in time for a push on the last VH's...and it looks like I'll just hold to my gains. :(

I must once again lament the lost PzIV tank! Where is it? Where has it gone? These cheap look-alikes aren't it. I bonked a crapload of rounds off an M4. So much for those dangerous German 75's, and those lightly armored M4's.

Not much else occured beside my continued, complete disbelief in the performance of German armor. His decision to hold what he has is fine by me! I certainly cannot attack with what I have left.
