Editor Manual Example

Post by bcgames »

It has been proposed that an example for how to build a scenario be included in the Editor Manual. In my mind, this needs to be a small battle that provides the basic structure for explaining scenario development and the tools available in the editor. The Demjansk Pocket (and its formation) stands out as a situation that could provide the background for an example illustrating the various components of scenario design. What battle do you think provides a better basis for understanding the editor?

I think your proposal is an excellent one especially as it will be another scenario to play.

My second thought was as one of the key tenets of scenario design is learning to play the game first how about the example being to show how to build the main game tutorial at V Luki or one of the small stock scenarios. I realise that this would involve an element of reverse engineering but does is one way reinforce a key lesson.

That sounds like an excellent example. Would love to see that.
