Getting back to the AE edition and first a huge "Thanks !!" to all you great modders for the art works.

Questions please; is there a way to change ( or a mod available ) the Japanese base icons on the map to the white flag with red "meatball" design ? There is one for WitP on Spooky`s site, but I`m not sure that`s useable in the AE edition.

Are any of the user created WitP report screens compatable with the AE edition ?

TIA

I have it included in the LCU alternate download, but airfields, ports and TF's are also recolored.
Some of the Allies have also been renamed for different colors.

Looking in the art directory I see the alternate flag set listed as the alt set.
So just rename the one already in the game.[;)]

Recently I was told in the war Room forum about a "patch" that would update the artwork for the game...however, I'm looking through the 26 PAGES of stuff here and am having a mind melt down... is there a summary of updates that I can put in? How does one go about putting them in? And finally would it impact a game already in play (disturb the actual play)??? Sorry if you have seen posts like this before, but I really can't sift through all the stuff on this thread! Hal

You can go here to download all the latest unit patches and airplane art, and you can go here for all the latest ship art.  Be sure and bookmark these sites.  [:)]

The updated artwork does not affect the game play in any way. All it does is change how the game 'looks' on your machine. It does not affect you opponent in any way and they do not need matching artwork installed.

The only trap is to make sure you have the correct artwork for custom scenarios (the DaBabes unit patches spring to mind). Once again this will not affect game play but the displayed artwork may not line up with the units you expect.
Cheers,
Reg.

All the frontline Japanese AGPs are done, and posted.[;)]

Only the Shinbu-tai and some training units remain.

Enjoy!

Do itasimashite!

The next group won't take that long to do, as only a portion of the Shinbu-tai units actually have an insignia.[;)]

I'll clean up and refine some of the previous Japanese bitmaps as I get to them.
I've seen less than 75% of the work I've posted in the game itself.[:D]

Some of the unit colors change the shade of the green background, go figure....
So I'll fix them as I run across them.
