Just in case if you decided to start again. I found a few places you may want to know about.
1 Hex X56. Y83. Brody. East of Lvov.
2 Hex X76. Y18. Kotly. South West of Leningrad.
3 Hex X82. Y21. Kukkovo. South of Leningrad.
And good luck in whatever you decide to do.
First, many thanks for the Mod. It is highly appreciated. Also of note is the labor it took to complete.
Now for the semi/low-level bad news: There is an error South of Orel.
"Malo-archangelsk" is one of the three towns/villages labeled on the railroad between Orel and Kursk. The proper name there should be "Ponyri".
This can be easily verified online by entering 52.32°N 36.29°E into Google maps. Note that the major North-South rail line runs through Ponyri, NOT Maloarchangelsk.
Another verification source is David M. Glantz. Any one of his numerous books on the 1941-1945 War in the East - Great Patriotic War - should have at least one map of the Orel-Kursk area.
Hopefully this post reaches the goal of being helpful, not a detraction, to the superb Mod produced.

Hi. I don't doubt you.
I have labelled the map using the names coded into the game to avoid confusion. There are a number of naming errors in the game but until they are fixed, I propose to use the same names on the maps as those coded in WiTE.
If I didn't do that, then you would see 'Ponyri' on the map, but Maloarchangelsk would pop up when you click on Ponyri.
Perhaps you can post your observation as a bug and it might get fixed?
redmarkus4 -- Thanks again for this mod. It is a real time-saver when building historical scenarios. It really helps in the placement of troops cuz in provides more points of reference.
Unzip and drop the files into your C:\Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\Dat\Art\Zoom2 folder as always. Replace existing files when asked. These files do not affect your saved games in any way but are not compatible with any other map mods.
These are all for the grid version right? Are there non-grid versions?
I am only working on updating the grid version now because 99% of players seem to report that they always play with the grid on.
There is an original non-grid version (it was available via the Wiki) but it almost doubles the effort to support that with updates, so I don't propose to.
See if you can PM Cookie Monster to see if he can get you access to the non-grid files.
