Question About Race Images

Hi guys! I'm new here to the forums. I made an account so that I could ask
a quick question about this tiny mod i'm going to work on. I've searched the
the forums here for a while, but if i've missed something, I apologize in advance.

I'm planning on making a Mass Effect race mod for Distant Worlds Legends, and
I was wondering if it were possible to make the race image generate a random
image every time I start a new game or a new leader is spawned. I think that being
able to see a different image of a leader or agent would add some depth.
If anyone has an answer to my question, I would really appreciate it.

[:)]Hello Mmatt, and welcome to the DW forum.

At this present time there is no way to 'randomize' the race image.
It is something that has been put into the Modders Wishlist though.
Although, as you may know, you can use different images for characters
in the Legends version in the 'characters.txt' files. Hope this helps!

Sounds great. There was a Mass Effect mod started, but didn't progress for some reason.

for doing that in the mod. I just downloaded the Modding Guide and i'm going to start tinkering around with my idea. It's my first time trying to modify a game. I saw that the Modding guide was out and decided to try it out. Thanks again! I'll be sure to try out your advice.[:)]

@Igard: Hi, and thanks for the quick reply! I actually ran across that mod a while back when I first got Distant Worlds Legends. It's too bad it wasn't continued. I think the OP kind of just stopped. Thanks for the info! If I actually get anywhere with the mod, i'll be sure to post it in the forum for anyone else intereted in a Mass Effect Mod. Thanks again!
