All I seemed to get from trying to load this mod was crashes... [&:]

Yup. Did it with a clean install too, and still just... didn't want to load for me.

EDIT: To perhaps explain more, I downloaded the mod, put it into the customizations folder, loaded up the theme, and two things happen. The first is that all the default races are still there, and the second is that it won't load an actual game. It just crashes each time.

Yeah, the default races should be there....

K. I'm assuming you followed the instructions very carefully and the mod is installed properly... hmmmm.....and you used a clean install of the game...

1.When you set up a new game do you enable DW to generate random races or do you preset your own?
2. Did you try to start the game and play it without the mod?
3. Do you have any other mods installed?
4. Are you running the game as an administrator (if you use win7)?

1. I did, but then I tried doing it with preset races. Same result. Trying to initialize a map to play in resulted in a crash (I should note, it doesn't just crash, it loads, encounters an error, and then proceeds to just stay loading)
2. Yes. Works fine.
3. Only via the Customization themes, which it is my understanding that those shouldn't interfere with other themes.
4. Yes. (Windows Vista, here)

yesterday, i was play ME Mod!
this is Really Great mod!
visual,sound,shipset,characters.. all Perfect maching ME universe..
im highly recommend this ME mod all DW fans!
& ME Mod Will be the best gift to ME Fans!
i will introduce this mod in korea ME Fans..(can i do that?)

Little issue..(in my case..)
- some ME music's mp3 codec is not common mp3 codec...
(DistantWorldsTheme.mp3, ME Track 1~9.mp3)
in my case, these ost doesn't play ingame...
so i was Converting these mp3 again..replaced folder, then all OK!
( i dont know why..but...i think..that ost issue was JUST in MY CASE..)

i think..that crash problem is possible...
that crash always happens to me..in my mod testing..
because..this ME Mod is Replaced races

im not sure..but maybe help this is..

'automationPrefs', 'defaultOptions' DELETE two files & Restart!

Thx for the great review Eva and yes, please introduce the mod in Korea ^^ I bet there's a lot of ME fans there too :)


Also thx for the advice on the crashing problem. I honestly run out of ideas. I even reinstalled the game myself and than downloaded the mod and reinstalled it (twice). It works perfectly.

I remember getting similar problem while the mod was in development. It was caused by mistakes I made in character files, but once I corrected it it worked fine. And the files Shepard uses are the same I was testing just now. This thing is really bugging me - I hate that someone can't play the mod :/ I hope Eve's solution will help. If not we'll think of sth else.

EDIT: also, did you try installing only the mod, without the planet and effects pack? Maybe that's cousing problem somehow?

ok, I ran into the same problem with the mod. However, I fixed it.

Your mod unpacks as a folder inside a folder. You must move the inner folder into the customization folder and it works perfect. If you move the outer 'ME Version 1.00' folder to the customization folder it will not work.

I have an issue with you mod, all AI ships dont have shilds and weapons at all, i had the same problem with my ships at the start of the game, but i redesigned the ships. There is no non-ME races in my game, just guardins and they seem to be OK. how can i fix that?

yeah, I have no idea. I never had such a problem and we haven't really tweaked the AI at all. I don't think it's our mod. You might wanna try to start a new game

Already did, same thing :( it really breakes my game.
I dont have any other mods installed, and it worked perfectly.

Where have you installed the mod?

Customization, then selected it from Theme changer. I know how to do that)) made some modding myself

I ,ade a clean install before downloading ME mod.
Yes, all ME files unpacked.
Ill try to reinstall everything from scratch.


PS No, still the same issue :( i even deleted codeforce folder from user documents, nothing helps. Looks like i will not kill some reapers((


PSS Looks like it screwed the design of all ships and bases, not even neutrals/abandoned ships and bases have weapons and shields.

Any suggestion?

Ok, i fixed the problem. It was not a mod issue, its a decimal issue in non-english systems. Checked the tech support section, looks like its a widespread problem. Changed decimals settings in windows to . from , and it works like a charm.
