How to mod generals

Post by JoePirulo72 »

Anyone knows if it is possible to add or delete abilities from generals, and - if it is - how to do it?
Thanks in advance!

There is no Generals Folder present, however I found the following in the GameDaya/Models folder:

UID = 358
NationTag = CSA
Name = William H. Walker
Alias = ldr_CSA_WHWalker
ShortName = W. Walker
Text = $ldr_txt_CSA_WHWalker
Family = $famLeader
ImageID = symbol_general_1.png
Color = $colCSARegular
Portrait = Unit_CSA_Pocus.png
OffFire = 1
DefFire = 1
Initiative = 10
Range = 1
ROF = 1
Penetration = 0
Protection = 4
TQ = 10
Assault = 2
Hits = 1
MenPerHit = 1
HorsesPerHit = 0
GunsPerHit = 0
Cohesion = 80
DmgDone = 0
CohDone = 0
AsltDmgDone = 0
AsltCohDone = 0
Move Type = $Ranger

etc. So, I guess that's where you can mod them :)

Vielen Dank, Klink. I found that folder, too. I manage to add an attribute, but it doesn´t appear in the campaign, so I´m doing something wrong...

Thanks for your help!

Well... what kind of attribute? I'd suggest to compare 2 generals and their attributes; furthermore I'd recommend Notepad++ for opening it and perhaps editing.

I add the training attribute and then delete others in the models folder. Nothing happens. So there should be other thing to do.... I think is something in the file Models Cached - the last in the list, but I`m not sure...
Maybe we need the advice from the experts...
Thanks Klink!

I got it! At the end of the models folder is a file, called cache. You have to modified in this file, and voila. It´s no easy, but it can be done...
Enjoy
