Question about manpower

Civil War 2 is the definitive grand strategy game of the period. It is a turn based regional game with an emphasis on playability and historical accuracy. It is built on the renowned AGE game engine, with a modern and intuitive interface that makes it easy to learn yet hard to master.
This historical operational strategy game with a simultaneous turn-based engine (WEGO system) that places players at the head of the USA or CSA during the American Civil War (1861-1865).

Question about manpower

Post by Twotribes »

It seems that with the patch manpower is taken twice. On the turn you build the units you subtract manpower ( conscripts) on the next turn your manpower is hit with the same number of negative conscripts showing they were used for recruitment. I don't recall this before the patch but may have missed it as I was not real interested in everything knowing about the Corps bug.

And with Divisions not active till October how is one to mount an attack on Manasas as the Union.

Kudos so far on the run away Confederate deep raids neither heavy force has moved from Virginia. Though I have a lot of action in Kansas LOL.

Figured it out. It reports your last turn conscript level on the next turn and then subtracts what you spent that turn.

I am also curious about not be able to form Divisions till October.

Thats to simulate the problems that both armies had with command control early in the war.

It makes an attack on manasas impossible

Remember CSA cannot form divions as well. So command penalty for them as well. And your command penalty doesn't go below 35% even if you general is not activated. And the Union has more generals for independent stacks (4 general bring 8 CP in independent stack), so pretty much they both suffer - as mr. had Lincoln said you are green, but they are green as well and sent them off to battle they would lose[8D].

Everyone wants to take Mananas before the 10 NM hit takes place but this was historical. I know that this is a game but you cab come up with other ways to keep from taking the hit[;)]
