Renaming armies

Civil War 2 is the definitive grand strategy game of the period. It is a turn based regional game with an emphasis on playability and historical accuracy. It is built on the renowned AGE game engine, with a modern and intuitive interface that makes it easy to learn yet hard to master.
This historical operational strategy game with a simultaneous turn-based engine (WEGO system) that places players at the head of the USA or CSA during the American Civil War (1861-1865).

Renaming armies

Post by Ironclad »

Any chance of making this a high priority (ie in the next patch)? In a game where army commands can be despatched anywhere one chooses within one's own territory it seems very odd when they still retain the original title. For example I have just despatched Joe Johnson (with his empty command) to Little Rock from where the proud army of Northern Virginia will now be operating into Arkansas/Missouri.

I found a round-about way of doing this.

1) have leader in his own stack (by himself). Form the army
2) have another stack he's going to join, rename that stack to what you want (Army of Mississippi, for instance).
3) drop the leader into the other stack.

Seems a renamed stack takes precedent when joining stacks.
