A couple of questions.

Post by stormbringer3 »

I'm just starting to look into this game. I'm glad to see that the complexity is at least intermediate. When the player increases the difficulty level what will change for the player and/or the AI? I've owned SMAC and various Civilization titles. One thing I liked is that those games could be long. Will this game have the possibility to be a long game also?
Which forum will be the primary forum for this title, Matrix or Slitherine?
Thanks for any info.

You have a few ways you can increase the difficulty. You can change each AI's difficulty individually (from very easy to very hard or even randomize it for each) which adjusts the morale bonus they get. The other way is to change alien aggression, which specifies how quick, how far away from and how long waves of aliens will last.

We also have a pace setting, very similar to Civilization, so you can play a slow, huge game if you want.

We'll most likely hang out the most on the Slitherine forums, where we should be having an open beta forum for more in-development versions which everyone who bought the game can swap to if he wants. But I'll be reading here as well and respond as much as I can.

Cheers,
Rok
