Question about multiplayer

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Question about multiplayer

Post by Jonathan1945 »

A friend of mine and I have been playing TCP/IP SP:WAW games, and it's been a lot of fun. I'm wondering, though, if there's any way to set up the battles for 3 players (we like to play co-op versus the computer).

Also, are there any more 3-4 player scenarios out there? Is it possible to make them? I haven't been able to find any options in the scenario editor ...

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Have you checked out the scenarios starting at #300? There's some 3 and 4 player ones there.

I'm no expert on this stuff, but in a 2-player scenario you'll notice the little 1's and 2's above the units. These tell you which player they are for in an online game. If you go into the editor, then into "deploy" for side 1, all the units will have a "1" above them. If you want to make a 4-player game out of it, click on the units you want another player to have, and hit "F3". That will change the little "1" to a "3", and it is now player 3's unit. If you do this to the command unit, like H0 or S0, it will change the whole squad at once. Do this for all the units you want player 3 to have, then do the same for the other side, this time hitting "F4".

I'm not sure if that's all you have to do to it to make it playable online, but that's all I know! Image
