Here's the West side in T88. I'm trying to widen the hole a bit. Other than that there's not much going on here.

Oops........I've already posted a West side in T88. Well, then lemme show you how close the railheads are then. I'm planning on
combining the rails together along the Arno river just so there's a connection between the two of them. That will come in handy in
the long term. Maybe.

Here's the T89 front lines. Everybody is scrunched up toward the front. All the late comers and trailers are arriving at the front and
it's starting to get crowded. Time for me to cull out the no-counter type units, units that don't contribute much just to get them out of
the way. Units like AA and AT and various recon units that aren't doing their recon job right now.

Here's the front lines in T90. I'm still pressing against the Germans and attacking when able and making slow progress. It's still a bit
crowded and supply is still low and so on.

Here's the West side in T90. I've made the hole bigger and I'm rushing units through it. I say rushing but actually the units are more a
crawl than a rush.

Here's the East side in T90. There's no hole on this side. I'm actually going to have to blow a hole in the German lines to move through.
Unless somebody somewhere on the front lines can move around behind these Germans to cut them off and isolate them and THEN we
start attacking.

The Germans put up quite a fight at the East Gustav line. After pounding on the front for several turn I managed to capture hex 142,130. The Germans promptly withdrew the next turn. Perhaps skillful playing by a human player could have driven me back, however I was glad to see the AI withdraw instead of sitting there and becoming surrounded and being defeated in detail. That was around turn 68 or so.

Here's a member of the maintenance staff getting a P-47D ready to go out again. It's tough to change the spark plugs when there's 28
of them. Two per cylinder.

Here's the T91 front lines. I've just about mopped up everything behind the lines now it's pure battle toe-to-toe. I'm hoping I can find or
make a hole somewhere so I can get behind all the German defenders. The lack of partisans might be making a difference here. I don't
remember such a German gaggle in my previous games.

Trying to punch a hole thru the Gothic line turn 96. No real contact on the West side although a slow advance.

Here's the T94 front lines. I'm blowing holes in the German line but I'm thinking that it's not making much difference because there's
always more Germans to plug the holes. D'oh.

You probably have your scenario designer hat on when you say that but I'm curious.......what were your choices and what was your
thought process? Enquiring minds want to know.

Here's the T97 front lines. There's a lot of withdrawing of land combat units here lately. I'm running short on boots on the ground. I'm
having to rearrange things because the 45th Div is going to go to the CBI or something. And the whole VI Corps is going to go bye buy.

Here's the West side in T97 and you can see how confused it is. I'm going to have to get organized.

Those are the same problems I faced im my previous game: slow crawling advance on the western side, little to no advance in the middle or eastern side.
When I decided to assault on the east I got tremendous losses, like ruining two infantry divisions, one armored in reorg (New Zealand Div. for me is counting as Armoured Div.) and two armoured brigades destroyed; as I stated before I started the attacks on the eastern side of the line and Elmer reacted ordering a Panzer counterattack on the near poor Polish troops. They kept coming for two consecutive turns, they kind of succeded keeping me at bay and at the third turn they retreated the whole line keeping two regiments as retroguard. Keep attacking and they'll give up eventually.
I see you have the US units really spread up along the width of most of the peninsula. Since I was waaaaay moooore concentrated and felt I needed way more divisions for the Americans, aren't you having problems of lack of regiments? I see also you're using Canadians and New Zealanders linked to the US units, maybe they're better fit as you use them instead of historically attaching them to the British.
Also a question for sPzAbt653: I don't want to spoiler Larry the challenges that are to come, but there's a way to make Elmer do a Mobile Defence on the Padan Plains(the zone between Gothic line and the Alps)? He seems like giving up the whole theatre of operations after he loses Gothic line!
