Dead bodies remain...

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Dead bodies remain...

Post by Dedas »

Is it possible to make the men who dies to be seen on the map, not just the tanks. That would be great to improve the overall feeling that a war is going on.
Another idea is that when alive soldiers stand in a hex with dead friends the morale is greatly reduced for them.
Just some weird ideas from my crazy head!

Heehee - we'll have to get Warhorse to get going on some "body" icons! Image

Ya - I'm with you!! That's one reason I still play "Tank Commander" - the infantry you don't kill - you can run over!! Image I guess it was made before all the "Political correct" stuff came in. But I don't think it will happen.

Also, keep in mind it doesn't only cause low morale - it can cause some units to go crazy and be really hard to kill while they kill everything in sight - I've read about Russians and US units doing that - that would be great in scenarios.

Can it be done with this engine? If it can, then delay 5.0 for a time. One of the things about Age of Rifles was the dead body icons. You could tell where the hard fighting had been by the corpses.

That would be just great. I always scan the battlefield afterwards to notice where the hardest fighting has taken place.

I also have a quetion: Why does mules become a "wreck" that smokes? And obviously, even after becoming wrecks, they still stand up. strange don't you think? Image

Attacking is the best of all defences.

I used to play 40K and I'd love to leave all the bodies on the table. You can really tell the tides of battle that way.

It was really cool against Orks & Gretchin.
LOL!

Epic40k certainly is a great game, both as in the computer version or the tabletop version!
The crazy nuttas at PCGamer gave the game only 66%... ha ha... said it was old fashioned to have hexes in a game!(Weird dont you think!?)

The game is buggy as hell though!
(Once one of my Gargants walked of the screen and continued doing that...mmh!)
