The Victors - help!

Hello there.

I started the Victors campaign about 5 billions times! I am still trying to crack the first scenario! I have tried a number of combinations of tanks and infantry. Usually go for 2 platoon of TDs, one company of Mech inf, and some AA support. My last choice was for two M4 (76) Shermans, and the Mech Infantry. I've tried the TDs, with an Airborne company, with extra truck transport.

I usually spent one company of tank and two platoons of infantry to the town at the north of the map. The other tank unit and remaining infantry usually take the lower V hex and take cover in the house near the crossroads.

I always take at least one Ranger unit to nab the Russian victory hex in their town!

My trouble is they I always end up with a draw and never enough points to repair my losses.

What were some the troops and tactics you guys used to get through this scenario?

I tested this Campaign when it first came out, about version 5.?.

There have been changes to the OOB's that have influanced the priceing.

I haven't played this on in a long time. You may try to get by with Reg. Infantry and Regular M-4's with a couple of M-10's. Get some Med Mortars and maybe an FO. Also you will need AAA units, the Quad .50 jeeps will work here.

Let the Soviets come to you, you will not have enough combat power to take the fight to them. Use lots of smoke.

You may want to get some 76mm AT guns and trtansport and 90mm AAA guns for the big Soviet stuff.

Just try and hold them back and destroy as much Soviet stuff as possible.
