Surface Warfare Tutorial

I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong on the surface warfare tutorial. I can easily accomplish everything except sinking the ship at the end. I just can't figure out how to do it.

I've shot all the rest of my SAMs at it, then blasted it a zillion times with the 127mm (even tried switching reload priority to HiCap once) and I've had the seahawk blast it with the hellfires. No matter what I do the thing WILL NOT SINK!

I also noticed that my gun rounds almost always miss (despite the briefing telling me how accurate naval gunfire is... lol)

Please tell me what I could be doing wrong?

Can you post the message log (as an attachment)? It's hard to say without it.

I just played the scenario, and had no trouble sinking the Nanuchka.
Granted, the 5" gun wasn´t terrible accurate, but did the job in the end (with the help of a few Hellfire´s mind you).

ckfinite is right about the need of a message log or save game to find the problem, but are you using the latest build of Command. There have been a lot of improvements from the initial release.

The latest build is 570, with DB3000 build 418.

Pdanders I'm also a new player. Take a look at Baloogan's Episode 4 series of vidoes. He plays through the tutorial. I watched this after my first try and then went back and played it again and I was able to complete it without any issues.

Great - I'll check out the video. I'm a long time war/strategy game player and also a long time harpoon player (like I played harpoon when I had a 386SX!).... so I was kind of baffled that I couldn't sink the damn thing!

HA! So I was succeeding every time... I was just too dense to notice. lol Note to self: READ THE post battle log all the way through

It sure does take awhile to sink that sucker with the gun.
