PBEM saveability

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

PBEM saveability

Post by Uxbridge »

Before I rush ahead and buy this game later today, there are two questions regarding PBEM I like to have answered.

1. Is it, in a PBEM-game, possible to save in the middle of a turn and then return to it at a later date?
2. If the answer to the first question is 'No', is it possible to restart the entire turn at a later date if one had to abandon it for one reason or the other?

The reason why I like to know this is that my playing time is often limited to an hour or so, and sometimes it get interrupted. There was some hint about server-controlled PBEM or whatever, and I fear that this might cause problems for me.

Just so you know, you can also save a turn mid way on the server and go back to it later.
