Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Well.......... anything from HOW? Me and old pzgndr [:'(] want to know, JJ too!
SeaMonkey I noticed this post. you mentioned JJ. Could you tell me who that is. The reason I ask is Warhorse a member Here had an e-mail game going with a JJ and was asking who it might be. he had a game going with a JJ,lost track of the person. He was trying to find him but could not remember his user name. If you know and I could relay it to him he may recognize him. He was playing a Campaign Series scenario with the fellow..

Sure Zap, that's Jersey John, the SC forum historian, well read and opinionated, a made man. Believe he lives in Florida now, originally from New Jersey.

So Zap, are you the original Zapsweden, alias "Air Zap", Terif's constant opponent, or should I say.....Wippin Boy![;)]

It's a little-known fact that Hubert had his name legally changed to Godot. So the release date could be .... delayed.

A delay is a minor consideration as SC has always been largely bug free, at least, no game-breakers. Minor indiscretions get corrected as players test the features to maximum hypotheticals and Hubert has a tendency to add many features as the game evolves its play balance.

Really looking forward to this new SC generation, like starting over, "the first time", hopefully a reincarnation of the dynamic PBEM/On-Lines of the past since the whole SC community should again be concentrated here.

When you know the quality you're going to get, delays are of no consequence.

Any news regarding the Beta-Test phase?
Last thing i now is that Matrix has a complete different approach to this than BF had.

DC3 is releasing late November and has had a flurry of info already, nothing for SC3 yet which suggests it's getting too late for a 2015 release now. On the Slitherine forums Polaris and Victory and Glory (which we heard a bit about recently too) are in the 'Coming Soon' section, SC3 is still 'in development'. All we'e heard of late was a comment from Iain saying "I dont speak for Hubert but i can say the game is really coming together and its exciting to see how it takes shape!".

Agree completely with SM, don't mind the wait because it's sure to be great, but it's so frustrating to have waited 2.5 yrs with practically no info at all. If it's really 'coming together' then surely there's something to share at this stage?

When a programmer says "80% complete", it's half-way done. When they say "90% complete", it's about 1/4 done (you read that correctly). When they say "it's really coming together", then you can assume the worst, most crippling bugs have been removed but no usable features yet exist. It likely compiles most of the time.

That's my take after several decades in and around software development.

So, while I look forward to SC3, I'm not going to get excited until a demo is available.

That should give you plenty of time to work on those TPS reports.

That's the problem. Not enough TPS reports. Hubert should add daily TPS reports, with, of course, the right coversheets.

Ah.....XWormwood,Sea Monkey, Panzergrdr, Jersey John,.....and me, Snowy, all in the same place once again!!...wait a minute,JJ? Did someone earlier say they talked to him? Cool!! Lost contact with him a few years ago, but he was last working on a new WWII novel, I think.

As many of you have said, Hubert always delivers, so if you're tired of waiting, no need to fear. It should be great. Can't wait for the beta testing phase...[:D]

I have been itching for a A3R type game on the PC for decades, could this be the one?

From all what i know (which isn't a lot) this will be -if at all- only within a later release, as much as i would love to get a new Great War campaign.

Having said this, i'm pretty sure that i will happily embrace everything created by Bill.

No idea what is going on but there was briefly an extra sub-forum this evening "Strategic Command 3 Beta Test".

Upon attempting to enter, I got this:

"Access is Denied.

You either don't have the right to access or have attempted to access private area.

Please login with sufficient credential or click here to go back to forum's home page"

So beta has started and yet we have still been told practically nothing since 2013? (and yes, it did say "credential" singular, that is a direct copy and paste).
