Couple questions

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Couple questions

Post by MrLongleg »

I spent the day today playing this new gem and tumbled over a couple questions:

1) Blitzkrieg stance is supposed to create fatigue. Where is this reflected in my unit stats. Couldn't find anything like it.
2) Railroad gauge conversion. Although tracks were only converted to Riga I could move my FSB to Tallin. After 8 days it even worked and shows green railroad symbols. How did that happen? The railroad still does not fit!

Since I did not move fast enough (slowed down by logistics) the Soviets build heavy lines three hexes deep. Well, I guess I have to do better next time ;-)

Hi Haudrauf,

Fatigue only affects slow (Infantry) Divisions. You can find their fatigue status (and the effects of any fatigue) in the report tab under the relevant Unit Modifiers report (correct army or PG). Easier is to just select the unit and ask it to Report Status! (yellow button down the bottom on the button bar). On Blitzkreig posture it's +1 fatigue to move and +1 fatigue to fight. Doubled in Mud conditions.

Rail conversion converts tracks as you've said but the Germans can still utilise unconverted Soviet tracks. There is a penalty for doing so (less efficient) and they could suffer from choke point delays (goods have to be unloaded from the German gauge trains and reloaded onto Soviet ones at the point where conversion has reached.

If you poke around a few of the tool tips in the Rail Capacity report and perhaps the Daily AGN Theatre log (depending on what's going on) you should find more information.

Cheers,
Cameron

Thanks, that clarifies it.

Congratulations to a great game. Looks like I really have to dive deeper to have a chance of success.
