Transfer of divisions

Post by bennythejet »

Historically at Barby's start, there were numerous inf divs attached to PG armies used to crash the frontier as is also found in the game. After the initial breakthrough these same inf divs were released to their respected armies(16th, 4th and 6th). In the game is this possible or are they permanently attached? If one can't release these inf units then how are they to keep up with the fast units because they would fall out of command range. Is this how it is or am I missing something.

Hi BennytheJet,

A number of PG infantry divisions are withdrawn early on and return as part of Weich's 2nd Army. You'll receive notifications of these in your Daily Theatre logs.

There is an Action Card, 'Transport' that can be used to round up stragglers if need be.

The Panzergruppes tend to move in fits and starts. The fast Divisions will race ahead but then run low on fuel and have to wait for their logistical tail to catch up whereas the slow Divisions plod along at a steady pace. It tends to work out.

Cheers,
Cameron
